Yara is Queer, Afro-Caribbean and Polyamorous. I am a CIS White male. I went to Puerto Rico to see my beloved Yara and she was open to making an impromptu documentary. What ensued was a love letter, home video, quasi-ethnography and experimental documentary. We explored each other's identity through a series of unscripted conversations and examined how identity is a complex composition of cultural, social, political and spiritual influences. However, we did more than just examine our identities. We reveled in it.
